Albert Hall is a former R. J. Reynolds tobacco factory constructed at the turn of the 20th century. The building is located in Piedmont Triad Research Park in Downtown Winston-Salem. The Research Park is a 20-year 400-acre project developed by Wake Forest University and the Idealliance Foundation. The Park attracts and maintains world class research and technology-driven users.
An adaptive reuse project, Albert Hall’s original building construction and design echo the past. It is a handsome industrial structure faced in textured red brick with natural mortar featuring tall windows and ornamental cornices. Custom upfit accommodates computer, wet/dry lab, research, assembly, and a wide variety of technology enterprises.
The top floor of Albert Hall has been renovated and adapted for loft living. Residential living was developed for 18 units ranging from 750 to 1,350 sq. ft. featuring 12-foot ceilings, maple parquet floors, open landscape plans and patios. The Lofts at Albert Hall has its own visitor lobby and entrance to private loft elevator. An access panel allows residents to identify guests and allow them to enter into the visitor and elevator lobby. Elevator-served parking is available to residential owners and tenants.
